The position will consist of a blend of office and fieldwork. APEC is a full-service environmental consulting, compliance management, geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firm. APEC provides quality, cost-effective solutions while also focusing on client commitment and satisfaction. Our staff of professionals provides depth to APEC’s ability to conduct environmental investigation/remediation and geotechnical engineering projects for our clients. Our geotechnical team is one of the finest in the industry!


We are looking for a new team member to work with us on projects. This is an Engineer Position that involves conducting inspections as well as oversight of sampling and testing personnel. He/she will work closely with other


professionals and the candidate should feel comfortable interacting with clients, construction personnel, and sub-contractors as a professional representative of APEC. The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated


individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required of a Geotechnical Engineer. Candidates are required to have a professional engineering license OR an Engineer In Training (EIT) certification. Applicants with a solid

understanding of geotechnical engineering and/or working experience in the field are preferred.


This full-time position requires:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and/or Geotechnical Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer OR an Engineer In Training (EIT) certification. Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook) is expected. Candidate must have excellent writing and communication skills. Familiarization with various AASHTO and ASTM Standards is preferred, as is a general knowledge of soil logging programs.

APEC is a full-service geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, environmental consulting, and compliance management firm. APEC provides quality, cost-effective solutions while also focusing on client commitment and satisfaction. Our staff of professionals provide depth to APEC’s ability to conduct environmental and geotechnical engineering projects for our clients. The successful candidate will work on challenging and diverse tasks for projects related to construction, DOT, bridge, airport, and private development for a variety of small local clients as well as Fortune 100/500 companies.


This is a position that will help develop your career and gain experience and knowledge in many areas of the engineering and construction industry. The candidate will learn to work independently and with teams to apply critical thinking applications to solve technical issues on a variety of engineering and environmental projects. This is a field engineering position that will involve conducting field inspections; classifying of soil; operating or working with heavy equipment

(excavators, skid-steer, etc.), preparing boring logs or field notes for senior staff members, and assisting with sampling and testing of air, soils and groundwater. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tests and inspections on

construction materials including soils, deep foundations, concrete, asphalt, and masonry.


Full-time position requires:

High School Diploma, 2-year Engineering Technology Associates Degree, or a 4-year Geology, Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology Degree preferred. Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, and Outlook) expected. Candidate must have good writing and communication skills, and can work in a team environment or on their own.
